The Full Stack Web Developer will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software in an accessible, flexible and accommodating workspace. This role will manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables while working productively in a team environment, with the latest in Agile Development tools and processes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to integrate and develop multiple APIs and develop against different integrations.

The candidate must have the following :

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study
  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages
  • Experience working in one or more web application technologies
  • Proficiency developing HTML5, CSS and Javascript applications in a LAMP stack environment
  • Experience working with Laravel, or a similar PHP Framework
  • Proficiency with Bootstrap, JQuery, Vue.js, or any other front end packages or frameworks
  • Experience with GitHub and proficiency with the Git version control system
  • Working proficiency and communications skills in verbal and written English

Additional skills an asset :

  • Proficiency with PHP Unit and experience writing test-driven development is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct front-end, functional testing of new features according to business and functional requirements documents
  • Identify all necessary Business and System Requirements to prepare Test Cases
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand product vision and requirements
  • Proven ability to efficiently write effective test cases that provide in depth coverage of functionality
  • Accurately describe and log bug reports, and work with developers to get them resolved
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test suites / scenario documentation
  • Write and maintain written documentation on site features, training materials, and user guides
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, organization, and time management skills
  • Adaptable and able to manage tasks and deadlines amid rapidly shifting priorities
  • Perform cross-browser testing to verify functional compatibility in different browsers (Microsoft IE, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari) and multiple mobile platforms ((iOS/Android)

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary school degree or diploma
  • 1-5 years of software QA experience
  • High-level proficiency in verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic knowledge software development process, agile/scrum methodologies
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with software tools such as Jira, Github, Confluence, Google Suite, and Google Analytics
  • Experience in using test management tools such as TestRail, Testpad
  • Knowledge in API testing using POSTMAN
  • Proficiency in verbal and written French language is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience using automated testing tools is a plus
  • Experience with testing for accessibility, including knowledge of assistive technologies, is a plus
